This popular community building was opened in 1957 after many years of fund raising and hard work by members of the original committee.
Years of dedicated work by subsequent management committees have resulted in a spacious building containing 2 halls, surrounded by a fenced and lined car park and with a lawn at the rear which is available for the use of hall hirers.

The main hall has a large modern, well equipped kitchen conforming to current hygiene requirements, with a bar area nearby for serving food and/or drinks.
The Hall has a stage and can accommodate 100 people seated.
At the other end of the building is the small hall for accommodating lesser functions.
This also has a kitchen connected to it.
The halls can be hired at very reasonable costs
starting at £7.00 per session for regular weekly users in the small hall
rising to £65.00 for a Saturday evening in the main hall.
There are special children's party rates starting at £16.00 for a weekday afternoon in the small hall.
The floor of the main hall is marked out for badminton and several clubs make use of this facility. The hall is also used for:
- Table Tennis
- Junior Karate classes
- Keep Fit
- Line Dancing
- Children's dancing classes (tap, modern, ballet).
Other activities are Yoga, Parents and Toddlers groups, Brownies, W.I.,Scottish Country Dance, Whist drives, Garden club, and an Amateur Radio club.
