This impressive building, with it's beautiful parkland is a hive of activity with numerous regular events and activities for all members of the community, whatever their age or interest!

:: The 55 Club at Merchistoun Hall: An exciting club for people 55 & Over. ::
We started in 1994 to give senior and retired citizens the opportunity to meet other similar people, to develop new and existing skills (creative or otherwise), and to share them with others and to benefit from any suitable available outcome.
We have many activities during the week. For example on Monday & rsquo;s we start with a keep fit session followed by coffee and other various activities. These activities include talks on subjects that members have suggested with qualified guests speakers, whist drives, cribbage, and open forum discussions. In the afternoon we have darts and board games with short mat bowls in the evening.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we also have a short mat bowls session and on Thursday & rsquo;s we have a guided walk in and around the Horndean area.
Once a month, on a Thursday, we have a luncheon club that meet in various different local venues.
We arrange day trips to various places and recently we have visited Canterbury, Chartwell and Hever Castle as well as theatre trips to London and Southampton.
