How to Join - Membership of the Horndean Parish Twinning Association
Membership is open to all.
It is not necessary to live in the Parish of Horndean.
As a member you will receive a copy of our Newsletter (3 or 4 issues a year) as well as be entitled to special subsidies on trips to Aubergenville and other events from time to time.
The cost of membership is shown on our Membership Application form which you can receive by post by sending your name and address to twinning@horndean.net or you can download a pdf version of The Twinning Association Membership Form, which you can print out.
When you have completed the Membership Form, please send it together with the appropriate fee, to the Treasurer, whose address appears at the bottom of the form.
Is that it?
Believe it or not - NO!
The biggest spin-off from being a member of Horndean Parish Twinning Association is that you are also a member of a local Social Club. One of the first things that will happen to you when you join is that you will meet new friends in your local community.
The Association, as a part of its fund-raising programme, organises and runs social events in Horndean as well. These vary from barbecues to concerts, craft fairs, supper evenings, tenpin bowling, treasure hunts and so on.
Any more I should know?
Yes.
Naturally our friends in Aubergenville like to visit us in Horndean and when they do we expect to return the hospitality afforded to us over there.
If you have a spare bed or beds the Association will be asking you to host a family, subject to your commitments. An excellent weekend is assured.
